Microsoft has unveiled some of its Black Friday savings, which include a free netbook when purchasing certain Office software, and discounts on Xbox 360 gear.
On Black Friday only, Microsoft is offering a free Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 netbook – valued at $ 299 – to anyone who purchases Office Home and Business for $ 279.99. Add $ 99 to the netbook price for Signature Premium, which adds a theft-recovery system and one year of technical support. The netbooks are in limited supply, however, so act fast.
The software giant is offering several other discounts that will last until Monday, November 29. Microsoft has dropped the price of Office Home and Student by $ 30 to $ 119.99 and is selling Microsoft Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 for $ 129.99, a $ 20 discount.
Microsoft is also offering a gaming bundle that includes a Dell Alienware Mx17x10 laptop, “Microsoft Flight Simulator Gold Edition” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” as well as a Sidewinder X5 mouse for $ 1,999 – for savings of about $ 350.
Customers who purchase select PCs will also receive a free 16GB Zune HD.
On the Xbox front, Microsoft is offering $ 20 off its Xbox 360 wireless headset, $ 10 off its Xbox 360 chat pad, $ 20 off “Halo: Reach,” and $ 20 off “Fable III.”
Microsoft previously unveiled some of its Xbox 360-related savings, but the company has posted some more offers on its blog, including discounts on games like “GTA: San Andreas” and “Halo: Combat Evolved.”
