DICE is clearly focusing all of its energy on Battlefield 3, which is what DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson calls “the biggest launch in DICE’s history.”
With such a monumental task in front of them it’s no wonder that Magnus has also announced that DICE has cancelled both Battlefield 1943 for the PC and the co-op Battlefield: Bad Company 2 add-on ‘Onslaught’ in favor of focusing on the big title.
Battlefield 1943′s continuous delays make the cancellation unsurprising – if it had launched this year, it would have done so two years after its console counterpart.
